«Epica» представляет! В честь 10-летия выхода дебютного альбома
группы «The Phantom Agony», 21 марта 2013 года на Transmission
Records вышел его юбилейный 2-дисковый расширенный вариант
full-length studio album by Dutch symphonic metal band Epica. It
was released in 2003 by the Dutch label Transmission Records. It is
the first album recorded by guitarist Mark Jansen after his
departure from the band After Forever. On this album, Mark Jansen
continues with the collection of songs that make up «The Embrace
That Smothers». The first three parts can be found on Prison of
Desire (2000), After Forever’s debut album, and the following three
parts can be found on The Divine Conspiracy (2007), Epica’s third
album. These songs deal with the dangers of organized religion.
This expanded edition comes in a deluxe digipack and contains 15
bonus tracks, including 7 previously unreleased versions and 1
previously unreleased song. The 20 pages thick booklet will provide
unique photos and memorabilia, plus liner notes by founder Mark
Jansen.
“We have put aside our differences ’cause at the end of the
day, both parties want to have the debut album available to the
Epica fans as it has been out of print for more than five
years!”
For the first time ever the album will also be released on double
vinyl! It will be pressed on high quality 180 gram audiophile vinyl
and put in a 350 gram cardboard gatefold sleeve including all
lyrics. Besides the regular album, this release contains 6 bonus
tracks.
